In response to the Group Writing Project at ProBlogger, here is my top 5 list for headphones to use for brainwave entrainment products and meditation audios.
For noise canceling, so you can do your meditations on the subway, in airplanes, cafeteria or starbucks, my number one pick is the Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphones. They aren't cheap, but that's the price you pay for good noise canceling headphones.
If the price is too steep, or you don't have kids, or any reason to travel, well... you don't need noise cancelling headphones, do you? Try Sennheiser MX55V Stereo Headphones w/ Twist-to-fit System & Volume Control. Adjustable for comfort. And not quite as pricey. A little Dainty, or lightweight, whatever fits your personality.
If

Gotta have wireless for Yoga in the Garden? The price point on the RS100 Headphone by Sennheisermakes it worth trying. Gives you freedom to roam and dance and move, but not likely to stay on your head during "dog facing forward".
However, surround sound is a very attractive feature, especially with brainwave entrainment products. (those dissociative trances just come upon ya so much quicker when you can lose yourself in the sound. Loop de loop anyone? ) Which is why I like the Sennheiser RS 130 Wireless Surround Sound Headphones even better. But they ain't cheap.
I guess you've noticed that all my top picks are Sennheiser. That's because the quality is never compromised. However, beware, if you're buying these products monster beats on ebay, Some overseas companies beats tour by dre substitute substandard products packaged as Sennheiser products. There are buying guides available beats by dr dre on ebay if you choose to shop for them there.
Always keep your headphones and all components away from high heat sources, and don't tug or pull on the wires. Otherwise, you'll wind up with a very expensive paperweight, or worse, a paperweight with static.
